Project Location:
Originally proposed in Mahbubnagar District, Telangana, the project was relocated to South Kanara (Mangaluru District), Karnataka, with initial operations in Belthangady Taluk. It has now expanded into Puttur, Sullia, Mudbidri, and potentially Udupi and Karkala Taluks of Udupi District.
Though, the area spans two districts, it remains compact and well-suited for large-scale bamboo cultivation, attracting potential buyers nationwide due to abundant natural bamboo resources.
This region was specifically chosen for its highly favorable climatic conditions for bamboo cultivation. The abundant rainfall makes it ideal for the project’s success, regardless of irrigation. While irrigated plantations are expected to yield higher returns, even unirrigated plantations perform significantly better here compared to those in the plains of Karnataka.
